Every day in distribution, small delays lead to bigger operational gaps. Reports need extra calculations. Customer migrations raise financial concerns. High return volumes slow down teams. Important announcements get missed after login.

When systems lack enough control or flexibility, teams resort to manual effort. This increases risk and slows down progress.

This release aims to tackle these daily operational challenges. We improved reporting logic, enhanced migration control, enabled bulk returns processing, and strengthened distributor communication at login.

Here’s what’s New:

  1. Enhanced RNA Report Builder with advanced placeholders
  2. Controlled Credit Note migration during customer migration
  3. Bulk Sales Return ETL with validation and approval flow
  4. Product images and scheduled messages on DMS landing page

Enhanced RNA Report Builder with advanced placeholders

We have improved the RNA Report Builder to support better placeholder features for creating complex KPIs. Previously, users were stuck with basic placeholders. They could not create multiple placeholders in a single report or reuse the output of one placeholder in another. This limitation held back advanced calculations like averages, ratios, and derived KPIs.

To address this, we updated the placeholder engine to allow reusable and layered logic directly in the report builder. Users can now define output types, combine multiple placeholders, and use one placeholder within another to create new metrics. Final calculated outputs can be added directly as report columns, making it easier and more flexible to build KPIs within RNA.

Update Highlights:

  • Multiple Placeholders: Create multiple placeholders within the same report with condition logic across columns.
  • Derived Metrics: Combine multiple placeholder functions to calculate new metrics.
  • Chained Placeholders: A created placeholder can be reused to build another placeholder.
  • Report Integration: Final placeholder outputs can be directly added as report columns.

Benefit

  • Create complex KPIs without manual calculations
  • Reduce dependency on spreadsheets
  • Improve report flexibility
  • Minimize calculation errors
  • Build advanced metrics directly in RNA

Controlled Credit Note migration during customer migration

Previously, the system did not allow users to choose whether unspent credit notes or vouchers should be transferred when a customer was switched to a new distributor. This limited flexibility and created operational challenges, whenever a customer needs to migrate, all the pending credit notes or vouchers should have been closed before migration.

whenever a customers needed to migrate,

To solve this, we improved the customer migration process to give better control and validation for transferring financial balances. Users can now decide what to migrate. The system requires validations and mandatory approval before proceeding. ETL-based migrations also follow the same approval process.

Update Highlights:

New Migration Controls: Two checkboxes added to the Customer Migration screen:

  • Transfer Sales Return Credit Notes
  •  VouchersTransfer

Distributor Acceptance: Distributors can review migrated customer details upon login and accept them to complete the migration.

Enhanced Validation: The system now validates active and unutilized credit notes in addition to existing pre-migration checks.

Mandatory Approval for Credit Note Migration:

  • Approvers can review selected credit notes and vouchers before approval.
  • ETL-triggered migrations follow the same approval workflow as the UI.

ETL Enhancement: Two new optional columns added — Transfer SR CN and Transfer Vouchers.

Benefit

  • Full control over financial balance movement
  • Reduced migration errors
  • Stronger approval governance
  • Clear audit trail
  • Smoother distributor transitions

Bulk Sales Return ETL with validation and approval flow

Previously, the system did not allow bulk uploads of sales returns through ETL. Distributors had to enter each sales return by hand, which took a lot of time and often led to mistakes. This method was inefficient, especially for managing large volumes or past returns. Additionally, there was no way to review, check, or fix data before submitting it.

To address this, we introduced ETL for Sales Returns, allowing uploads via separate Excel sheets. This change speeds up the process of entering high-volume returns and makes it more organized. Uploaded returns now go through validation and approval steps before we process their stock and financial impact.

Update Highlights

  • New Sales Return ETL Upload: Bulk upload option added (available in MDM & XDM) with separate sheets for with Reference and without Reference
  • Post-Upload Action: Uploaded returns appear in the Sales Return – New window, where users can: Accept (then edit/save/discard), Reject and Skip to create a new return
  • Approval Workflow: If approvals are enabled, returns follow the existing approval process. If not, they are auto approved.
  • Stock & CN/DN Impact: Stock updates and corresponding Credit/Debit Notes are generated only after approval.
  • Validations: Enforces return-specific checks (e.g., return vs invoice quantity, SKU line master validation). Upload fails if the invoice is not delivered or vehicle not allocated. Re-upload is allowed if rejected, but if the invoice already exists, the system shows: “Invalid Return Quantity.”

Benefits

  • Bulk upload of sales returns
  • Reduced manual data entry effort
  • Minimized data entry errors
  • Faster return processing
  • Structured review and approval workflow
  • Improved operational efficiency

Product images and scheduled messages on DMS landing page

Previously, the system allowed only a one-time flash notification during login. It did not support recurring pop-up messages each time a user logs in. Companies could not highlight key messages, product promotions, or important announcements. This limited engagement and weakened login-time communication.

To solve this issue, we improved the existing Custom Notification feature in MDM. Now, product images and messages can be displayed to the distributor whenever they log in for a set period, rather than just as a flash message. Users can now set up both flash messages and time-based notifications.

Update Highlights

  • Flexible Scheduling: Added Schedule from Date and Schedule To Date fields, enabling notifications to run for a defined validity period instead of a single date.
  • Image-Based Messages: Users can now upload and schedule post-login image messages for product promotions, announcements, or campaigns.
  • Dynamic Content Rotation: Configure multiple flash messages with different images and date ranges to display content based on business needs.

Benefits

  • Consistent visibility of announcements and promotions
  • Improved distributor engagement at login
  • Better campaign communication
  • Flexible scheduling of messages
  • Stronger communication across the distributor network

Conclusion

In distributor operations, even minor system issues can slow teams down and lead to unnecessary mistakes. This release tackles those common challenges with targeted improvements in reporting, migration control, returns processing, and communication.

With improved reporting logic, stricter financial management, organized bulk return handling, and better login visibility, your teams can work with increased clarity and confidence. These upgrades are designed to support smoother execution, greater control, and more reliable distributor management at every step.
